This patch was worn by Alaska Territorial Game Wardens as early as the late 1930's - NOT IN MY COLLECTION Sam O. White, Alaska's first flying Game Warden, late 1930's This patch was introduced for wear by Alaska Enforcement Agents in 1952, becoming official in 1958, but didn't come into official use in the Lower 48 until 1961

F&G Protection Officer Steve Reynolds, Junjik Lake, Brooks Range, early spring 1970

when Fish and Game Protection was brought over to the DPS, officers wore the State Trooper patch for awhile - note the khaki border outside the merrowing to match the Brown Shirt

BADGE PATCHES- Alaska game wardens were called Fish & Wildlife Protection Officers until 1984 BADGE PATCHES - Officers were renamed Wildlife Protection Troopers in 1984

Since 2004 Wildlife Troopers have worn the same blue enameled badge as regular State Troopers. From 2004 to 2007 they wore the same uniform but in 2007 returned to wearing a khaki brown shirt for field duties
